I really hate Macs. Even as they make advances on some of their technology and put out some decent software (i.e. Mac OS X) I really can’t stand the attitude of the company or it’s supporters. They tend to be very snobbish and buy into this whole elitist “we’re artists not computer geeks” crap when the only real difference between them and Microsoft is that MICROSOFT WON! Sorry, I like healthy competition, but that’s why this machine actually runs something different. Apple’s ads tend to be incredibly pompous and without any wit as they flaunt the ignorance of their users.
I used a PC for years. But it was very difficult. There were like 5 wires that were all color coded and I could never figure out if the green one was supposed to go in the green hole, or the blue one because that was a nicer combination. And then there was all that pointing and clicking and having a second and sometimes third mouse button to wrap my head around. One time it even asked me if I was sure that I wanted to delete a file. I didn’t touch the machine for a week. Now I use a Mac. It’s all in one box so there are fewer cables, although if the CD-ROM drive is on the fritz I have to toss the entire thing in the trash. Hey, at least they only cost about 40% more than comparable PCs. My name is Billy, and I’m a Mac tool.
I could have done better than that, but you get the idea. These people talk about how the computer now matches their drapes or looks pretty in the kitchen. And they seem to have the magic Macs which never crash or hang. Alright, this post has been hanging in limbo for about 2 hours so let me rap it up. The whole point was to put up a link to this incredibly funny parody of those crappy Mac ads. It’s a much more accurate depiction of the Mac users I’ve known.
i hate mac users more than i hate macs. they’re all anti-microsoft because they think its the mcdonalds of the computer industry. apple the homo cunt excludes features from its software so when you purchase one, you’ll have to buy another to do what you want. ie. dvd studio pro and HD. then they release a box set to try and convince you you’re getting a discount from their shitty software.
all those mac tools talk about is
what if apple designed a phone, it’d be silver with a glowing apple!
no it’d be brushes metal with a plastic cover!
no it’d be black with iPhone on the back of it! and it’d glow!
and be entirely fucking useless as a phone. and it’d have all your favourite mac applications that making talking on a phone artistic. and creative. which you know, is what a phone does.
those mac kuuhnnttzzz!@!@#!@# i wonder if they know all those cg movies are made with pcs. the only thing macs are used for is a third party production of adobe and in-design to do silly press ads. thats why they post an advert for a “mac operator”. must have 5 thumbs and like to show off white headphones.
I BISHI BASHI THEM.
im using a mac to write this. please kill me now.
I just love my PC because I can run any virus and spyware program out there. Unfortunately with Macs, no malware is compatible with the damn thing. I love the down time and how my computer slows to a crawl. I love that I can run 25 word processors because one just isn’t enough. I love that I can run any game under the sun because an Xbox or a Playstation because I like sitting at my desk and controlling my games with a keyboard. I love pop-up windows turned on by default because I like good deals. I love my Start bar, it makes me feel comfortable. I like my PS/2 port, somehow having only USB makes feel less compatible. I like the blue screen of death because blue is my favorite color. I like Dell’s tech support. Their useful blanket advice of reinstalling the operating system works everytime. Apple is so proprietary, I mean they just won’t open up their iTunes DRM. Microsoft’s approach works great, just take over a market and make things “compatible” only with your products. I love visiting websites that only work in IE 6. Most importantly, 95% of the world uses Windows. And since 80% of the world lives in abject poverty, I’ve decided to move to Sri Lanka since everyone else seems to like poverty.
Haven’t had any viruses, malware, spyware, whatever ware problems on any of my 4 main PCs in a couple years. I guess I just know how to avoid them.
I only have downtime when I install something new, and my computer only slows to a crawl when doing intense video editing or manipulation of multiple-gig files across hard drives and he network. I guess I just know how to use it well.
I love choice. If I didn’t, I could always buy a Mac and have all of the choices made for me.
I have a PS2, which I love for certain games. But, once again, I love choice. There are other games that are much better suited for a PC. Maybe some people out there prefer playing Civ III without a keyboard, but I certainly don’t.
They haven’t been for months, and I haven’t seen any for even longer. Why? Because I’m smart enough to know that if a default setting doesn’t work for me, I CHANGE IT.
Wow, good one.
You’re right, it would make much more sense to make peopl abandon all of their peripherals once a new one comes out.
I support over 80 PCs (along with my own) on a daily basis. In the last year and a half, I’ve seen about 3 of them BSOD. Two of those were faulty hardware. The other was software incompatibility. I guess I just know how to service machines properly.
I guess you could say the same thing about Apple. Isn’t their solution to always ship the system back?
If another company does this, it’s evil. But if Apple does it, all the Mac fanatics say it’s great.
I use mainly non-Microsoft programs. Don’t have a problem with this.
I just ignore those sites. That’s not the fault of PCs, but lazy webdesigners.
Thanks for visiting my site, and proving my point about Mac users. It’s been a good laugh.
I have also worked on Mac and PC computers for years.
Have you ever used a Mac? Why would you trash on it?
I prefer mac because it is the computer that is right for me. I have repaired, built, and supported PC’s for over 20 years and believe there is not a more solid OS that the Mac OS X.3
I guess if you like PC’s than it is your choice.
I’ll stick with my Mac
I’ve worked on Macs before. Never liked them. I always found the interface to be completely counter-intuitive. But that’s why I didn’t use them. I really didn’t care if other people did.
What I do hate, is the BS Mac culture that feels that they are superior. The myth that you can only do photo editing and creative things on a Mac. The feeling that people who use PCs automatically struggle to make their machine do anything. It’s all a lie. I’ve known enough Mac users to know that they had just as many problems with their Macs as anyone I knew had with their PC.
And as for Mac OS X, it looks great. I’ve said numerous times that I would love to work on it. Of course the main reason it’s so stable is that it was developed by someone else. Apple sis a great job of adapting it for their own use, but it’s not like they wrote this great OS. They wrote a great GUI to go on top of a great OS. Considering they control the hardware and the software, they should have been able to create this stable of an OS about ten years ago.
But people ignore that. And, instead, they praise them for making a stupid, ugly sock as if that’s innovation.
Too bad Microsoft didn’t think of going unix based first eh?
They still think NTFS is gods gift to a great file system
I love how you wasted your time looking for something Apple released so you could trash it. The iPod sock may or may not be cool but someone out there will buy it. Hmmm let me guess, it has crossed your mind that you just might want to buy and iPod… common admit it!
You could sell your panties with a Microsoft logo or an Apple logo and someone will want it.
So that statement doesn’t steer me away for Apple or it’s products.
Yeah, I really wasted my time. I mean, it took me 5 seconds to find it on their site after seeing multiple idiots like you brag about it on their blogs. Gee, I must be really lame to be spending my on a search function when you’re using it so constructively writing comments on a stupid web post from the summer of 2003.
Actually, I have no interest in the iPod. A friend of mine got one. Wasn’t that useful to me. He ended up getting rid of it anyway and loves his new Dell DJ instead. Personally, I want something that offers more than just mp3 playing.
Man, are all Mac users this pathetic? You really need to get a life.
LOL you really are a moron.
The iPod does a hell of a lot more than play .MP3’s…. good lord man.
I can sync my Calendar, Contacts, Backup Files, Store hidden directories for personal info.
hmm. I can play games on it, Play a music quiz with my own music
Can a Dell Dj do that….well…. only back up data.
Man, are all PC users this pathetic? You really need to get a life.
Dude get a Dell.
LOL
Why are you still here? You keep coming to this site to bash one post I wrote over a year and a half ago, and you tell me I need to get a life?
I really don’t care that you can do “all of that” on an iPod, or that you can’t do it on a DJ. I don’t want either of them. So please, go and enjoy your iPod. Jerk off to thoughts of Steve Jobs. I really don’t care that you love Macs more than the touch of a woman. You typify everything that annoys me about Mac users.
LOL who ever said I was a mac user!!
I’M TYPING THIS FROM A PC…………………….. LOL
ohh and who ever said I wasn’t getting the touch of a woman.. I’m getting head right now!
lol
Well, you call yourself MacAddict, which implies a Mac user. In order to be addicted to something, you must use it.
Certainly not I. You apparently don’t even follow insults very well.
Wow, you’ve really got me with all of this “lol” stuff.
I’m really confused as to why you check this post so frequently. I mean, this is my website, so I see all new comments regardless. But you are actively keeping track of this “discussion”.
